A A AAn experienced landlord has sent this in today, which we whole-heartedly agree with at the TR Group.
So Shelter claim that more than four in 10 people in Britain live in homes that do not reach acceptable standards.
"Now the landlords have changed the rules anyway and said no-one wants tenants with housing benefit, but I would need part housing benefit to help me pay for it."

As tenant evictions rise in England and Wales, so does the need for thorough tenant referencing
Dead right we are not changing the rules. Government have made it clear that they want big corporate investment not small landlords - great lets see how they get on without us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't take a tenant on UC and I always take RGI because I need my rent to pay my mortgage AND MY TAX
Well done Government I hope that you manage to walk with all those holes in your feet and don't trip over people who are forced to sleep on the streets
We will have the last word (but not the last laugh) when people are homeless I'm selling some of mine and I know plenty of landlords who are selling or have sold all of theres because of the new taxes
Yes they will push us out of business and win the battle but they will have a new war to fight the war on mass homelessness - I expect we will be blamed for that as well as if we care
Good Shelter they can always find a way to waste money but never a way to provide more homes - that would put them out of business and we dont want that do we?
I'm buying gold because I dont trust the banks any more they will soon be charging us for taking care of our money and they are already giving a pitence to savers
