Having been a landlord for 25 years and after 7 years with Landlordreferencing.co.uk and now the total referencing arm that is Tenant Referencing UK.com I have seen many changes to the PRS.

One of the biggest changes have come from the constant barrage of legislation against landlords and letting agents designed by politicians who don’t have a clue.

How much legislation has been put in place to protect landlords from tenants that don’t pay our rent and destroy our investments? NONE!

The one thing I have seen is that they want us all to get better and why not?

However I myself became a victim of this political spin by trying to make the website politically correct with nice pictures of nice tenants in nice neighbourhoods to show landlords are human and not all rogue thieves.

The problem is that over the last 7 years of this barrage of legislation on us not one law has come out to protect landlords against rogue tenants who steal our rents and destroy our properties.

This government has done nothing to protect us from people in our society that wilfully harm us, our businesses and our families by deception, lies and criminal activity.  The truth is we are supposed to be the model student while the teacher allows the bully at the back to throw things at our head and will not even remove him from the class.

I light of the above I have decided that we should return to our roots and take of the softy pictures from the front page and bring back the images that show exactly what we do; stop you taking bad tenants and illegal immigrants.

We must all unite in working together here so that we never take one another’s problems even if we have never even been near a court room and got a judgement against them.test.png

Dear Paul,

After having just suffered with a tenant who left my property leaving behind devastation totaling £1909.43p I agree that landlords should be protected against tenants who willfully destroy the property they are renting. On the day she was supposed to be moving out I had a text from her saying I had been a " fab" landlord and thank you for everything. Hopefully all is not lost as I took out my first Rentsafe policy through Landlord Referencing which is being currently being processed, and time will tell.                             Yours faithfully,                                                                                                                         papapete.

Hi Papapete,

Firstly thank you for joining us. I have now moderated your first post so you can post whenever you like now and the will be added straight away. I am glad you used us and took a rentsafe RGI policy because our moto is if we cant stop them getting in, in the first place (and if we cant no one can) then at least you are insured against loss of rent and the eviction cos when we are getting them out for you.

Thanks for joining and supporting us because with tenant histories united we are all stronger that is for sure

Paul

Hi Tenant Referencing having been a long term member and supporter of your fab site, I wanted to post to say how fantastic your new front page is and the whole site is so much more user friendly.  I can proudly say that since I have used you, I have not had a bad tenant.

Just as a side note, as a Landlord who owns property in Wales, I had to go on an accreditation course and the instructor was extolling the virtues of best practise referencing and he recommended that we used this site for our referencing - I shouted hear, hear and explained I had been using you for a good 5 years now.

Keep up the good work and keep on being a cut above the other sites.

Thank you Sharon, The good news is that we are still getting new members everyday and they are all referencing and creating new tenant histories. I think that if we keep going like this we will be able to provide every landlord and letting agent with a tenant history on 80% of the countries tenants within the next 5 years. Those who dont get the history with us risk getting someone elses problem tenant every time.

I just wish more would join us because the sooner they do the quicker we all become safer and then tenants histories become the rule rather than the exception. I will also like to add that we now offer all the insurances including RGI, Legal and building and content so we are becoming the best one stop shop around for landlords and agents and we will not be beaten on price, so anyone thinking of switching to a better service who wants a price match only needs to call me.. on 0800 9994 994

Take a look at the home page for those who have not seen it http://www.landlord-referencing.co.uk/
